The Ride
The County Gran Fondo is a beautifully scenic ride through the bucolic, vineyard studded scenery of Prince Edward County, Ontario. Choose from 50 km, 100 km and 150 km distances and enjoy unparalleled support, the camaraderie of cyclists and après-ride festivities sure to please. Starting from Isaiah Tubbs on West Lake, you will cruise through Sandbanks Provincial Park, past vineyards that have made the county famous, visit villages including Milford, Picton & Wellington, and ride quiet roads in between.
Haven't been to the county yet? Travel & Leisure recently described Prince Edward County as one of the top places to travel to in the world in their annual list: ‘Cross Montauk, NY, with California’s Napa Valley circa 1970, and you get Prince Edward County, a tiny wine-producing region that’s becoming a haven for creative types'. Cyclists have long known that this region is a mecca for road cycling.

Schedule of Events
Friday, September 4
6:30-8 p.m.: Participants can pick up their Rider Package at Isaiah Tubbs Resort in the O'Neill Pavilion, our HQ for the event.
7-9 p.m.: There will be a “Carbo-Load” dinner for participants at Isaiah Tubbs Resort, starting at 7 p.m. and going until 9 p.m. The cost is $45 + tax per person. Tickets are limited, get yours when registration opens.
Saturday, September 5
7-8:15 a.m.: Riders should arrive to the start area at the O’Neill Pavilion. Rider Package pick-up for those that did not pick-up on Friday night, is available from 7 a.m.
Neutral start north along West Lake and through Sandbanks Park. Once through the park, ride at your own pace. All rides start from Isaiah Tubbs Resort as follows:
*7:30 a.m.: Elite Fondo 150 km
*8 a.m.: Gran Fondo 100 km
*8:30 a.m.: Corto Fondo 50 km
12-3 p.m.: Après-ride festivities include a BBQ and frosty brew. Please, note that we cannot guarantee lunch or the beer garden will be available after 3 p.m.
7-9 p.m.: There will be Celebration Dinner festivities at a secret location. Bus transportation will be available from Isaiah Tubbs Resort. Tickets for the Celebration Dinner will be $60 + tax and will include a glass of bubbly. Tickets for the bus transportation will be $20 return. Tickets are limited, get yours when registration opens.
Proceeds are donated to local charities. Since the inception of the County Gran Fondo, we have donated over $16,000 to local charities, including The Wellington Food Bank, ROC Youth at Risk, YWCA Strong Kids, and the Picton Hospital Foundation.
Sunday, September 6
Join a 30 km moderate Slow Food Ride from Karlo Estates Winery Sunday morning that will include a pancake breakfast and stops at farms and wineries, hosting tastings and food prepared by some of the County’s best chefs. Participating wineries and farms include Karlo Estates Winery, Closson Chase Vineyards, and Norman Hardie Winery. Tickets are limited, get yours when registration opens.
